Secure Payment & Booking Safety
The booking and payment system systems we use are PCI DSS compliant and our compliance is validated by Trustwave.
For client bookings and payments we only utilize external booking systems including Checkfront and Flywire. Contracts are in place with each of these service providers and they are under legal duty to protect client information. This includes payment information. All payment gateways used by our company are PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store client debit and credit card numbers or information. Anyone involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Flywire or other card payment processors undergo annual SOC II and PCI DSS reviews to help ensure all customer data are kept securely and in compliance with all applicable laws, including, but not limited to GDPR, PIPEDA, FERPA, GLBA, and other data protection laws. Hotspots2c does not collect or store any credit card or account details.
The PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was created by the major credit card companies to ensure the adoption of consistent security measures by all merchants. There are six categories of PCI standards that must be met in order for a merchant to be deemed compliant: Maintain a Secure Network Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program Regularly Monitor and Test Networks Protect Cardholder Data Implement Strong Access Control Measures Maintain an Information Security Policy We do not store or ask for cardholder data in emails or telephonically, but relies entirely on third party payment gateways to handle these functions. Our third-party service providers handle payment processing and storage of cardholder data. All third party processors supported by Hotspots2c's booking and payment system are all PCI DSS certified.
We use Atera's Emsisoft as anti-virus and malware dedection on servers and devices as unobtrusive, dual-engine security to detect and remove all infections before affecting data.
